Day 1: London Flowers

9.23.21

Our plane landed at 8:30am London time, I got about 4 hours of sleep (which is actually pretty good considering it was spent on a plane). Melina, with a backpack and 2 suitcases, and me, with my giant rucksack, travelled about an hour through busy metro stations to where we would be staying at International Students House. From there we cleaned up and of course, went straight to China Town.

As a reward for the 45 minute walk, we treated ourselves to bubble waffle soft serve ice cream- so good and so pretty! Then some quick sushi and onigiri at Wasabi and then we made our way to Collingham Gardens Nursery- the most beautiful plant shop with lots of insanely gorgeous plants. I was definitely jealous I couldn’t pack any more my journey, but I was happy to help melina pick some out for her flat. I cannot wait to have a place of my own to cover in plants and flowers.

Jet lag finally hit us on the metro home. I was definitely worried we would both pass out in the underground. The best solution is always caffeine, so we hit Black sheep Coffee and walked along little Venice which was super cute.

Finally made our way home where, after promising each other we wouldn’t, we both passed out for hour long naps. We both woke up hungry so we headed to Nandos for dinner- Halloumi, sweet potato, and chicken. Solid, cheap cuisine.

And that’s all for day 1.
