I had a 6:30 direct train to Freiburg in the morning. I checked out of my hostel and got to the station right in time. I spent the 6.5 hour ride mostly sleeping and watching Netflix, but very much loving the views of the countryside of Germany.

I arrived at 1pm ever Anni (my old exchange student) met me at the train station. It was so nice to see her again!! We got some lunch (halloumi and falafel wraps) and ice cream and then went to her house. I unpacked and did some laundry and we went on a nice hike.

We came back and had lasagna for dinner that her brother had made and we made some necklaces and watched Netflix and went to bed. It was a nice day

I am very thankful to be staying with Anni for a while. A break from the backpacking life will be very nice and I am so excited to be hanging out with her again (it’s been 4 years since she was out exchange student, 2 years since I saw her last). I also love Freiburg so much, one of my favorite places for sure!
