Today was a busy day of travel. I woke up, packed some food, and headed off to catch a 50 minute train to Bern.
As soon as I arrived, I immediately loved the town! The views were incredible and the water was so clear. I walked around a little then couldn’t resist a coffee to get some energy for the day at a small cafe. The town was pretty quiet since stores are closed on Sundays, but it made for a peaceful morning.
I loved looking at all the crazy fountains dispersed throughout the city, that had drinking water from the mountains coming out!
Bern is known for bears, so I headed to a bear park and saw two huge bears! It was so cool to see and they were actually so cute.

After this, I hiked up to a rose garden which unfortunately was not in season, but from the hill there was a beautiful view of Bern. I sat up there for a while eating some fruit I had packed and reading.
I then boarded a train to Geneva at 1:30. This ride was about 2 hours.
I was not as I’m awe with Geneva, even as I walked around the old town. It is a very cosmopolitan city which I guess I wasn’t in the mood for, but the inter nationality of the city was amazing. Walking down the street, I hear conversations in French, German, English, Italian, even Spanish at one point!
I did a lake Geneva cruise and ate a sandwich I packed before heading back to my hostel- a 3 hour train ride. I was so exhausted but loved that I was able to see more of Switzerland!

I would have enjoyed the Lake Geneva cruise. A calm way to site see. The bears are cute from a distance, I wouldn’t want to see them up close!
