Today was unfortunately mostly spent at the airport.

I left the hostel around 7:30 am to take the tram to the airport for my flight at noon. On my way to the airport, i found that my flight was delayed until 1:30. I couldn’t check in to my flight until 11:30, so I sat at the airport for 3 hours waiting. I got through check in and security then the flight was a little more delayed, so we didn’t board until about 2. The flight was nice, though. Only about two hours and my row was empty so I slept the whole time.

When I arrived at the Lisbon airport, I first got my bag. In Lisbon, I will be here for week taking part in a good rescue volunteer program. I met with a worker for the program- Ana- and she drove me to the volunteer hostel where volunteers for the overall program (ImpacTrip) stay. She was so kind and I met with other volunteers, most of which were from the UK and also 18!

We had a very nice dinner at the hostel. For the night, we decided to have a calm night (which was exactly what i wanted) and watched “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” with popcorn and chocolate. I was exhausted by the end of the movie and had a very nice sleep.
