I woke up early and took 2 trains to get to Badajoz, Spain- a city right on the border of Portugal and Spain. On my second train, a guy named Francisco walked up to me and we had nice conversation until his stop. Kind of random, but good company?

I slept all morning on the trains and once I got to Badajoz, I walked 30 minutes to a hotel. I was so happy to have booked a hotel, it felt so nice to have a whole room to myself and a nice bed for a change!

As soon as I checked in, I took an hour nap. I then left the hotel to get some groceries where a 16 year old boy asked me to buy him alcohol which was so weird. I also went to the train station to get my tickets for Madrid

Back at the hotel, I took a nice bath, got some salad for dinner, and had a very nice, relaxing night. It felt so refreshing!
