Melina said she feels very out of place here for many reasons, but a big one being that when you’re walking down the street, you see women in dress pants and men in trench coats. When you walk past Melina, you see a tshirt, likely with either a cute character on it or a band logo and blue jeans. Nothing wrong with her style, of course, but she asked for help dressing like a Londoner, which became our goal for the day.
But first- brunch. We took the Metro to Turtle Bay where melina had raved about their bottomless brunch- more specifically their bottomless cocktails. I got the vegan meal which included chickpeas, avocado, flatbread, and tomato- super good! It felt weird or ding drinks in a restaurant, and even weirder that I was not Id’d, neither was Melina. For drinks we both got this strawberry margarita type drink. I then chose a white chocolate liqueur drink which basically tasted like vanilla ice cream. I also ordered an espresso cocktail but was not a fan.
We then made our way to Westfield Shopping Centre. My favorite stores were definitely Pull & Bear, Flying Tiger, and Breslau. I couldn’t buy anything other than some candy and pens due to my space and money budget. Unfortunate but necessary :(. Then boba! There was a popular boba shop right outside the mall. So then about 4 hours and $500 later, we made our way to the flat to put everything away.
Keeping on with our cheap dinners, we got Pizza Express, which was so so good. I got pizza with pancetta (first time having pancetta) and chicken. We then ended the day with flower shaped gelato!

Next stop- Belgium!
This is SOOOO EXCITING!!!! I was Melina’s teacher when she was in Middle School, I called her erizo. I don’t know if you remember me but I hope she does! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
