I had an amazing sleep. It is such a relief to be in a nice air bnb, big queen sized bed, and with someone I am comfortable with. I love the backpacker life, don’t get me wrong, but this was very much needed!

I woke up at 10:30 and me and melina headed out around 12. We walked to the Padova city center and walked around some shops. Unfortunately a lot were closed since today is a holiday- All Saint’s Day. We got some coffee and shared a croissant at a cafe. The language barrier is a little harder since this town isn’t super touristy, but we managed to get by! We did some more walking and got a late lunch at a poke place. I know, poke in Italy?! But it was super good! I got mine with salad, quinoa, tofu, pineapple, seaweed salad, edamame, onion, nuts, and teriyaki sauce.

We then went to the Padova medicine museum which used to be an old hospital. It was pretty cool. It had a lot of interactive exhibits and a huge human body model in the middle!

When we got out of the museum the rain had picked up quite a lot! It was sprinkling all day, but it started pouring! This didn’t stop us from getting some gelato though (I got a cinnamon flavor and a honey/flower/rum flavor also). We then picked up some groceries and had a very cold, wet walk home.

We dried off and I began to organize my things and we also did some research and made a rough plan for the rest of our time here.

We then made some dinner. We essentially just threw together a bunch of random things we got grocery shopping- onion, carrots, tomato and bell pepper on the stove, cut up mozzarella, avocado, salad mix, quinoa, microwaveable falafels, hummus, and bread! Also some €1.99 sparkling rose. It actually turned out quite good, we were both pleasantly surprised!

After cleaning up and planning a little more, we got ready for bed and overall had a nice relaxing night.
